The Creator

Garri Pacheco.

Chess player. Instructor. Programmer.

I am the creator of Silicon Chess. My work brings together competitive chess and technology: practical tools to study positions, organize your ideas and make better decisions at the board.

At the board

A background in competition.

I am a FIDE Master, a two-time Pan American Champion and Peru’s representative at four World Championships. Those experiences shaped how I think about practice, concentration and progress.

  • Pan American Champion, Mendoza, 2001.
  • Pan American Champion, Bogotá, 2003.
  • Multiple-time National Junior Champion.
  • World Championship representative in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003.

Behind the apps

Chess ideas, made usable.

My background in Systems and Computer Engineering led me to work as a programmer and to connect two fields built on logic and precision.

Silicon Chess turns that experience into focused apps: a board for analysis, a reader for your chess books, tools for recording and playing games, and training for different parts of your chess.

The aim is to make each session clear, practical and worth returning to.
